Questions we get every week

Tuning, dyno time, EJ builds, standalone ECUs — here's how we work, in plain terms. If your question isn't here, call us. We take the extra time to explain builds because that's the whole point.

Tuning & Dyno

What dyno do you tune on?

Our own in‑house MD1100AWD all‑wheel‑drive dynamometer, right here in Gordonville. We don't tune off a laptop and a feeling — power, fueling and safety are verified across the whole RPM range on the rollers before your keys come back to you, and your build leaves with a real dyno sheet.

Can I rent the dyno?

Yes — MD1100AWD dyno rentals are available. Whether you're a tuner bringing your own laptop or an owner chasing baseline numbers before a build, you can reserve time on the rollers. Request a session here or call (717) 405‑9113.

I'm not near Gordonville — can you still tune my car?

Yes. Our e‑tuning program delivers the same custom calibration remotely: you send datalogs in, we send revisions out, and we keep iterating until it's right for your exact setup. Distance doesn't have to mean a generic map.

Do you do flex fuel tuning?

We do. Flex fuel tuning is one of our specialties — a calibration built for your setup so the car adapts safely across ethanol content instead of being locked to one fuel.

Will my car leave with proof of what it made?

Yes. Every in‑house tune is verified with a real pull on our MD1100AWD dyno, and you get the sheet to back it up. We'd rather show you exactly what your car is making than hand you a number and a handshake.

Builds & Fabrication

What cars do you specialize in?

Subaru WRX/STI platforms are our core: EJ engine builds, repair and performance work, plus platform‑specific work for 2015+ WRX FA20 cars. We also take on Chevrolet Corvette and Hyundai performance work.

Do you build EJ engines?

Yes — Subaru EJ builds, repair and performance work, from healthy refreshes to big‑turbo longblocks built to hold the power you're after. The engine work, the fabrication and the tune all happen under one roof.

What do you do for 2015+ WRX (FA20) owners?

Platform‑specific performance work for the FA20‑powered 2015+ WRX — from bolt‑ons through built setups — tuned for how you actually drive the car, not a copy‑paste map.

Do you build turbo kits and do custom fabrication?

Yes — turbo kits, custom exhausts and headers, engine swap wiring and other custom fabrication, all made to fit your car. Off‑the‑shelf doesn't always cut it, so we build what does.

Fair warning: we don't like small turbos.

Do you handle engine swaps?

We do — including the parts most shops avoid: custom swap wiring, standalone engine management and fabrication to make the swap fit and run right, then proven on our own dyno.

Standalone ECUs

What is a standalone ECU — and do I need one?

A standalone ECU replaces the factory engine computer with modern, fully programmable engine management. It's the right path for engine swaps and serious builds that outgrow the factory ECU. If your goals fit within the stock computer's limits, we'll tell you that too — we're not here to sell you hardware you don't need.

What's a plug‑and‑play ECU kit?

Our plug‑and‑play EMtron kits make a standalone conversion simple: modern engine management that connects to your car without hacking up the factory harness. Simpler install, cleaner car, easier to reverse.

Do you do full custom standalone installs and wiring?

Yes — full standalone installs with custom wiring and tuning, built in‑house. That includes swap harnesses and custom wiring where a plug‑and‑play kit isn't the right answer.

Who tunes the standalone once it's installed?

We do — the same people who wired it. Calibration happens on our in‑house MD1100AWD dyno (or via e‑tuning if you're remote), so the install and the tune are never pointing fingers at each other.

Working With Us

Where are you located?

We're in Gordonville, Pennsylvania — Lancaster County. Local customers come to us for in‑house builds and dyno work; everyone else can use our e‑tuning program from anywhere.

How do I get started on a build or tune?

Two ways: send us the basics through the quote form — name, phone, vehicle and goals — and we'll call you within one business day. Or skip straight to the phone: (717) 405‑9113. No pressure, no obligation — just a real conversation about goals, parts and timeline.

Will you explain how to run and maintain my build?

Absolutely — it's one of the things we're proudest of. We take the extra time to teach you about your build: how to maintain it and how to operate it safely, so you get the best results out of your investment. You get your keys back and the knowledge to use them.

Are you the cheapest shop around?

Honestly, no — and we're not trying to be. We're not the shop for a quick, cheap flash tune. We're the shop that builds it right, proves it on the dyno, and shows you exactly what your car is making.

Do you only work on Subarus?

Subaru is our specialty, but not our limit — we also take on Corvette and Hyundai performance work. If you're not sure your car fits, call us and ask. Worst case, we point you in the right direction.

No questions match your search. Try a different term — or just call (717) 405‑9113 and ask us directly.
Still have questions?

Ask us about your car, not a hypothetical

Tell us your year, make, model and goals — we'll call you within one business day to talk parts, tuning and timeline. No pressure, no obligation, and no question is too basic.

Every in‑house build leaves with a real pull on our MD1100AWD dyno — and a walkthrough so you know how to run it.
